DESPITE her well-chronicled problems with drugs, drinks and purloined mink coats, Lindsay Lohan continues to work. She'll star next in "Labor Pains," a comedy produced by Rick Schwartz about a young woman who pretends to be pregnant to avoid being fired. "When she's treated better by everyone in her life, she tries to keep up the lie for nine months," says a source. The troubled star couldn't be in better hands. Schwartz, a Miramax veteran, produced the last three Martin Scorsese movies.

Sounds good! B)

Bad title, don't really know the producer but if Scorsese likes him he' probably knows what he's doing.

Sounds like it could be a quirky, interesting flick. I do, however take issue with the NY Post's tone. What because of her past troubles, she shouldn't get acting gigs? Going by that logic, Robert Downey Jr. should've lost acting roles years ago, forget about him as Iron Man.

I agree with you QueenGeorge about Robert Downey Jr. Her mistakes were bad but not as bad as his. If he got second & third chances, she deserves them too. The movie sounds interesting. Good for her.

This sounds like a good, friendly role. Definitely not teen comedy, but still fresh and produced by respectable people who know what they're doing.

...On the plus side, production of Capitol Films' troubled comedy "Nailed," starring Jessica Biel and Jake Gyllenhaal, resumed Thursday after having been shut down for a third time due to financial problems. Members of the Intl. Alliance of Theatrical & Stage Employees were ordered by IATSE leaders a week ago not to show up at the South Carolina set after not being paid.

IATSE-repped employees also stopped production on May 15 after not being paid, then resumed May 19. The Screen Actors Guild had ordered its members to stop working on May 9 after Capitol Films failed to deposit enough required money in SAG accounts set up to pay the actors.

Pic, directed by David O. Russell, began shooting April 15 and is due to wrap in mid-June. Forty-six checks for the production bounced due to insufficient funds, according to the film's bankers. The problems with "Nailed" and similar difficulties with "Love Ranch" prompted SAG execs to meet with Capitol Films recently over its financial responsibilities for the shingle's upcoming "Labor Pains" It's understood that the guild has decided not to block the production after receiving assurances that Capitol would meet its obligations to pay the actors.

It sounds pretty good! But I'm still not convinced that the title is all that great. :/

But, this movie is still in production - it could change -_-

Personally I don't see what's bad about the title. It meets both points Labor= Job, or giving birth to a child and the movie deals with both. So, I love it
