The main thing you will notice is that the News section is gone; this has now been merged into Lindsay Talk. Lindsay Talk now only has one subsection left which is gossip we decided to remove the fashion section. Otherwise the only major change in the Lindsay Lohan forum is that there are no subsections in Music anymore.

The other major changes took place in Other Discussions where we now have four instead of two forums. Introduce Yourself and General Talk more or less stay the same though several subsections in General Talk have been merged. Celebrities however now has its own subforum; this was by far the most active section in General Talk (besides Forum Games) and we decided it deserved its own subforum.

[UPDATE 13:36] Engineers of the datacenter are on-site, they are experiencing hardware problems with the primary router. The backup router did not take over, they will investigate this later. They are currently swapping the hardware of the primary router.

[UPDATE 15:30]
They are still seeing unexplainable high CPU load.
A software upgrade will be carried out in the next 15 minutes to ensure the problems are not caused by the current version.
The routers will reload once.

[UPDATE 16:00]
The software update did not resolve the problems.

you've may already noticed that LocationLohan was not accessible for ~30 minutes today around 1.30am GMT+1. The datacenter where the server is located had a network problem due to a DDos Attack. Nothing happened to the server, so no data was lost during this downtime. Everything should be working again. Don't be surprised if there's a downtime again in the next few hours.

Have you ever dreamed to be on stage with a big audience?

Well now it's your chance! We're proud to announce the first LocationLohan "singing" contest. Show us your voice, show us the true star inside of you.

The contest rules:
  • You must be a member of Locationlohan with at least 20 posts in order to participate.
  • It must be one of Lindsay's songs.
  • You must use an instrumental song, so no voice over the original one.
  • For the creative ones, you can do a remake of Lindsay's song with your own lyrics BUT it must be Lindsay related and you have to send the lyrics too. Any negative lyrics content will be disqualified immediately.
  • If you don't have the instrumental, but you know how to play it on a guitar, piano... that's allowed too.
  • You can use a freeware Audio recorder like "Goldwave" (see download link) to record your song. Or use your webcam to record it. We will rip the audio out of it, so don't worry about the video.
  • If you use an Audio recorder software the file must be mp3, 192kbps, 44100Hz.
  • The deadline is: 23th of February at 12pm GMT+1
  • All submits must be send to this address: admin(a)locationlohan.com, if you use the webcam and the video file is bigger then 10mb please upload your file to a file host like Megaupload, Rapidschare,... and mail us the link instead.
    • Please include the following information in the mail:
      • Full name
      • Members name/nick
      • Age

  • By downloading the Instrumental files you agree to sign up for this contest. The files are provided for the participants to get them on the way and not for those that don't have the files and just want them to complete their "collection".

After the deadline the submitted files will be posted without the name of the member, so nobody knows who sang it. And every member gets the chance to vote for the best one. The participant is not allowed to tell anyone that he or she has participated to the contest. If he or she does that he or she will be disqualified immediately.

sorry for keeping you waiting, there were some problems during the upgrade of the software. But 99% of the problems has been fixed now. Still one little minor thingy. If you encounter an error or a problem that you didn't had before the upgrade, please let us know. You can report it at the Helpdesk (link at the top of every page). It's 5.15am where I live now so it's bed time for me wink.gif.
