Well, the seaon is starting up in less than 2 weeks i believe. As a St. Louis Rams fan i can only express excitement for the upcoming season after watching them destroy the Detroit Lions last Monday night.

I am exhilirated by the idea of how much better the Cowboys' defense will be this year. I am also quite happy about the rumours of Peerless Price being headed to Dallas. If we can get him, it would solve one or two problems we have at wide receiver, one of them being the brittle Terry Glenn. I am predicting 10 wins for Dallas, with 12 not being out of reach. |

I am so excited for the season this year. My wonderful team, the Vikings, has done alot to make themselves better and make a series run for a Superbowl. and being in the nfc, we might only need 8-10 wins to win the division. "Being in the NFC West is liking being an average looking girl at a college where the guy-to-girl ratio is 7-1" my picks for this year are not finalized yet, so i will not post them. i will once i have them in pen and not just in pencil. I am predicting San Diego will go 13-3, after starting 0-1. St Louis will need to play well every week to win 9 games unless that pre-season defense wasn't a mirage and Stephen Jackson is the real deal. Minnesota is the best team in the league on paper, now it's time for them to perform like it. With Daunte Culpepper at quarterback and a re-vamped defense, an undefeated season is unlikely, but not impossible. |

levi, both you and i know that St. Louis will win 10 games. S. Jackson is the real deal... hes comparable to a young LT. (The best RB in the league bar none). My perdictions will be posted when i figure them out. |

here how i have the league shaking down this year: AFC NYJ wins the East, Ravens take the North, Colts in the South, Chiefs for the West. Wildcards: Patriots, Steelers. Ravens may not lose, their defense is that good. Chargers may be able to sneak into division lead but their shed is really really hard and they will need help to get in. Jaguars I can also see being able to make the playoffs here. Bengals are a year away from the division. Cleveland will be lucky to win 2 games. A lot of good teams will not make it, which is a shame because crap teams will make it in the Nfc... NFC Dallas in east, Vikings in North, Carolina in South, Arizona in West. Wildcards: Eagles, Falcons. There is alot of bad teams here in the NFC and that pretty much means you can get into the playoffs with a record at .500 or less. Carolina is a really really good team who has proven before they can win; a healthy steve smith is scary. if Vick can figure out how to not get sacked every 7 plays they can go to the superbowl assuming the defense can play as well or better than last year. Packers suck. the west for me still is a toss up between 3 teams, so i picked the team i hate the least. lions may sneak in via wildcard. Playoffs: AFC: Ravens take homefield and beat the Colts to advance to the superbowl. NFC: Carolina will be beaten by a field goal in the Metrodome against the Vikings. Leaving an all purple Superbowl where I cannot not pick my own team to take it. This post has been edited by gregair13: Sep 7 2005, 02:32 AM |

I have a few words for you: 1) Tom Brady.. and the D in Big D..... Yeah, I know, Brady's overrated, yadayadayada, but say what you will, he's a proven winner. Something that really scares me? Dallas' revamped D: I predict DeMarcus Ware will be not only the NFL Rookie of the Year, he'll also win the award on defense. Weaknesses: their fragile WR core is the only weakness I can think of right now! Watch out for the 'Boys, they'll sneak up on you if you don't! 5 days you little son of a gun, five freakin' days, and then it's on!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

You are all forgetting about two fellows Torry "Big Game" Holt, and Issac Bruce. I believe the numbers prove that they are one of the best WR duo's ever. Add a decent QB, and a young RB stephen jackson who is going to suprise alot of people, and i see no reason why the rams cannot make the playoffs, especially in the NFC west. Now, in the AFC my team is the steelers. The ravens have a good D, and will give pittsburgh a run for the division, but the reason they will not win is because the steelers have a big B, as in Ben Roethlisberber, who by all accounts is the best rookie QB ever to grace an NFL field. Sure, the steelers wont go 15-1 this year, and Roethlisberger wont have the kind of season he did last year, BUT what he will lack in rookie luck, he now has in experience. Look for the steelers to win 12 games. That is all- other than the patriots suck! |

I love the NFL my dream is to one day make it across the pond and see a game !! But the trouble being in the UK I really don't have a team to speak of I mean I have my favs but not many dislikes. When I was a kid it was all dolphins but for some reason that faded and went on to other teams. But as each year comes round I look forward to seeing the games I have an advantage I can watch these game as a neutral and enjoy the game and pick a team for that game to cheer on. If I was to pick a team it would have to be a top three 1 NY Jets. 2 Tampa Bay Bucs. 3 Philadelphia Eagles. |

Don't count out Dallas, Greg. We totally revamped the entire team at almost every single position. Look for Dallas to win at least 11 games this year and shock a lot of people. |

At Mel's request, here are my predictions for Week 1: First one is New England over Oakland by a Vinateiri field goal Washington sucks but they will crush Chicago Cincinatti will use Cleveland to make a statement Denver will do just enough offensively to beat Miami Buffalo is going to spank Houston like a naughty 10 year old child Carolina is just going to destroy New Orleans whose minds are on other things Jets over Chiefs, who just aren't ready to play a team with that much talent Jacksonville is going to do well against Seattle Minnesota is going to crush Tampa Bay. Cadillac will have a great career but it won't start against Minnesota' revamped defense. Pittsburgh at home against Tennessee, no brainer Dallas will beat San Diego, that's all I will say about that Detroit is younger, faster and more talented than Green Bay. Another no-brainer St Louis could rest their starters and still crush San Francisco Baltimore is going to own Indianapolis, speed offense never works against stifling defense. Oh and Philadelphia is going to roll against Atlanta That's it for week 1. |
