I was very doubtful were to put this thread in - Entertainment or World News. Knowing how sucked in are we to the real story of Titanic, I thought here is the right place... So, here goes... A month ago I saw the Titanic movie on one of the local TVs and I have to note - I was seeing it for the first time. It made me think why are we human beings so into great human tragedies. I mean everytime something about Titanic is on, I'm stuck to the TV like I'm seeing it for the first time...and everything's so intriguing, mysterious and even scary. When I went to YouTube to look for documentary videos on the sunken ship, I saw some really interesting comments - from the "ordinary" - 'the ship should see the sun again' to the hardcore 'I wish I was on the ship when it was sinking, doesn't matter if I live or not'. Now, getting closer and closer to its 100 anniversary, I pose these questions to you - should it see the sun after all these years? How bad do you want to see the ship? If given the chance, would you go back in time to be on board of the Titanic to be a part of this great human tragedy? The last question buzzes me most...this is so inappropriate to think of that I even fail to describe. Then again, Titanic's addictness power is so strong that we fail to see what's wrong and what's right... Bare in mind what actual survivors think: QUOTE Mrs. Smith was one of the many Titanic widows who did not approve scattering flowers upon the waves where the Titanic went down on the anniversary of the wreck and asserted that no good could be derived by reviving memories of the awful night and that it would be better to give the money that flowers would cost to the poor widows and orphans of the ill-fated ship. Going deeper into this, as much as I want to see Titanic, I see how inappropriate something like this can be... Now you just become like everything I'll never find again at the bottom of the ocean... |

I'm in love with the story about Titanic. I have seen the movie from 1997 too many times and I still like the watch it. I think it's ironic that "the unsinkable ship". I think that it would be really cool if they saved the ship and I deffinenly like the ship!
