Biggest understatement I've seen on LocLoh ever...

Phelps is like, million light years ahead of LL. Why? Because he knows how to get his head down in the game and exploit his amazing talent. Lindsay on the other end likes to ruin her talent. So I would say LL might become bad influence on Michael, even if they're just friends.

He had a crush on her long long time ago...Just look at the video of Celebrity Exposé:Lindsay lohan.He said she was hot and stuff

You are entitled to your opinion, of course.

Obviously, you are into the Olympics. Me, I'm boycotting them because of the host of the games, China, and its atrocious human rights record.

But then the Olympics generally are low on the totem pole as far as sports go for me. And sports is even lower on the totem pole that the arts.

I am an artist. As is Lindsay. She is musician and actress, and a damn good one. I admire her more than any athlete.

Lindsay does not "like to ruin her talent." She has an addiction. Her work suffered for it. She has said many times she regrets how bad things got out of hand. She never "liked" it.

I grant that Michael Phelps has made a tremendous achievement. But he has most likely reached the peak of his career. Most of the rest of us here hope Lindsay is on the comeback trail, and she is on her way to even greater glory than ever.

Maybe Michael Phelps would be, and already is, a positive influence on Lindsay. Just sayin.

BUSH LEAGUE ALL THE WAY

As for William Hall "Billy" Bush... he is the co-host of the syndicated NBC Universal TV show, Access Hollywood. Bush hosts The Billy Bush Show, a nightly talk radio and entertainment interview show. It airs out of KBIG-FM in Los Angeles and is syndicated by Westwood One. He is a first cousin of George W. Bush.

The reason I bring this up, is I had checked Bush's website to see if the interview with Lindsay was there. No, I did not find that, instead I found this...

Bush has a special segment of his nightly radio show entitled, "Rank or Skank." And on his site are audio Rank or Skank archives, that you can check out and then chime in on.


And what do you know, the most recent "Skank" is none other than, Dina Lohan.

On July 31, Bush brings up the story that on the finale of Living Lohan, Ali auditioned for Peter Davy, former porn director. According to Bush it was Dina's fault, and therefore she's a Skank.

AND then, to top it all off, in the same audio segment, he gives a Rank to LAPD Chief William Bratton. This is for his "quote of the year," that the paps are behaving themselves now because among other things, "Lindsay Lohan has gone gay."


I wonder if Lindsay knew before she spoke to Bush, that on air across America, he had praised Bratton and called her mom a skank. I would guess not.

Now at the site there is, of course, a Rank Or Skank-O-Meter. This is where you the audience can join in, get rolled along into the hate-on. And what do you know, his shovel-fed audience agrees with him on Dina. With 961 votes in, Dina gets a D+, which rates her a Skank. (There is no voting option on Bratton.)

"Skank" is to me, a nasty, insulting, misogynist term. It is repulsive. I never use that word. I feel people who do are ignorant, holier-than-thou's.

Now to use the word skank in say, a movie, in dialogue as a throwaway joke, is one thing. But to actually have a nightly national radio Skank segment, and an official online Skank meter, is so ugly and unprofessional.

Since that is his game, I'll play along this once. From me, he gets an F on his report card. By his ratings, not mine, that makes him a Skank.

And I am pretty sure Phelps has the pick of any woman in america for the rest of his life. He can take Lindsay whenever.

Meh, I only know Phelps' records and that he kicks ass everytime - that's about it. I can't be bothered to watch them, since it's not my thing, but still I know enough on Phelps to make that judgement.



When I said she likes to ruin her talent, I didn't mean just the addiction - the addiction is actually a small part of it. It's her movie choices [and even her music ones] that are wasting her talent. She could do much, much better. Instead, her movie and music career are nowhere near the popularity of her real life. Lindsay Lohan is like a reality show nowdays.

Lindsay's peak [as far as the movie career is concerned] has passed and people are only interested in her personal life. It would take major blockbusters to reverse that and get people to talk about her talent again. But I can't see it happening.

There are no second acts in American lives. - Fitzgerald, F. Scott ...That's how it used to be maybe. But a lot of people have come all the way back. And gone on to even greater heights.

I agree somewhat on the music and movie choices. But I think part of the questionable choices regarding movies was perhaps because her addictions got in the way. She developed a bad reputation, so she didn't get the quality offers... Her latest effort remains to be seen, Labor Pains. There are some good actors in it with her, but all the people behind the camera (writer, director, producer) are green. That does not usually bode too well.

As far as her music career goes, Lindsay was tied up with her movie roles - and perhaps partying too much - to devote proper promotion. She didn't tour behind either album, and only did one video behind her last CD. For the most part she let those efforts die on the shelf... As far as her new music goes, I am definitely concerned. I think "Bossy" is a weak effort. Now Lindsay does not have the greatest voice, but she always showed fire in her singing. Her voice technically sounds pretty good on "Bossy," but the performance is flat. For which I partly blame the producer, who wrote the song, which is not that strong, either. For her new album she is working with a lot of other producer/writers, big names. If they want to live up to their names, they better put the work in and get some Lindsay flavor on those tracks, too... But another problem could just be all the name producers. It looks like this will be Lindsay's least personal album. It may be hard to bring out passion for an entire set of songs that do not personally resonate with her... Finally, Lindsay has said she will tour behind it, but I fear she will not. I think she has brought a lot of energy to her few promo performances - she's a showgirl, a great dancer, a crowd pleaser - there are a lot of people who love Linds and would be able to show it - and she might get inspired from that. I think if she were to tour that could open things up for her. It would be something new. It could bring excitement back about her as an artist. I think it's key. But will she tour? She needs to get planning, get it started when that album hits.

Michael Phelps may not have even peaked yet. He is still young. But so is Lindsay... I agree right now Lindsay's life is like a reality show. But that could all be part of the plan. She has the publicity. Now she needs to take it and do something with it. Nail her renewed popularity down tight with her work. She needs to shine in Spirit in the Dark and Labor Pains. Get out and tour, take that focus from her life and bring it back to her work. And keep momentum building from there... It will take a lot of dedication. And luck. It is a long shot that may take a long time. It may even be a lost cause... Or maybe Lindsay just wants to settle down with Sam. Maybe the passion for work has gone out. Or it just may be she's got the fire in the belly to prove all her doubters wrong. That's what I'm banking on or I wouldn't be here. I believe in fighting for lost causes. In reversals of fortune. I believe in Lindsay.

Billy Bush sat down with Michael Phelps for a brief interview. Bush said he had a message for Phelps from Lindsay Lohan, but he could not read it to him on the air, so he handed Phelps his blackberry to read...

Phelps laughed saying, "That's pretty cool."
