I just joined today and attempted to share a score track from The Parent Trap. It was removed for copyright violation by administration. I totally understand and apologize, but I'm a little confused. There's a whole section of images from magazines and such. Those images are copywritten. So, why is it they're allowed, but my attachment got pulled?? Thanks for your time |

Music falls into the category warez and magazine scans don't, simple as that.

Bvangs answer is correct, but I am going to elaborate on it just a bit. A copyright holder can determine how, where, and when their copyrighted material is distributed. Musicians do not want their music freely distributed because of the loss of profits. Paparazzi websites on the other hand will often tag their photos with watermarks bearing the companies name or emblem and allow for the distribution of those photos so long as the watermark is left on. And then you have magazines, which make so much money on the printed hard copy, they could care less if the images circulate on the internet - so long as it appears in the magazine first.
