Does anyone know the reason or perhaps guess/speculate why there was hardly any promotion for ALMP?
There are plenty of good songs there, Lindsay only released one single from it.
I wonder what's up with the management, why aren't they giving LiLo a chance?

Maybe Lindsay had a lot of other stuff going on at the same time...
I think it's too bad that they didn't promot the ALMP cuz it's awesome and is much better than Speak.

Yeah it was a fantastic album.
But i wonder why they did not even put in a lightweight promotion effort.
There was plenty of promotion for Lindsay's movies, but virtually none for her music career.
It is as though some people in the record company or management team is sabotaging her.

Speak and ALMP are her personal Album
aka too personal for touring + filming and lot of things going on

-The label was going bankrupt. Thats why she moved to Motown records.
-She had Bobby (Nov/Dec) and Georgia Rule to film.
-There was arguments between Lindsay and the record company over which song was to be released next. Lindsay wanted Who Loves You and the company wanted I Live For The Day. Turns out neither was released in the end.
-ALMP was a wasted opportunity. She didn't even properly release it in Europe where it could have sold more. With the right singles it could have sold just as much as Speak. But Speak/2004 was at the height of her career and she hasn't reached that level since. She sold 80000 of ALMP in the first week yet it only reached 20 on the Billboard. A few months ago Ashlee Simpson sold 48000 copies of Bittersweet world and reached 3.

Here comes my onpopular oppinion again:

There was no lack of promotion, she went on all the major talkshows to promote the album so that's not a factor. The material on the album simply wasn't good enough to warrant big numbers, the only single released from the album was accompanied by an overdramatised videoclip.

Casablanca wasn't really going bankrupt, it just wasn't going anywhere. They only had two people signed (Lindsay and Brie Larson) which isn't exactly a good way of running a label, a company like Universal won't put money into something like that.

That's besides the fact that singing is just a thing on the side for Lindsay, you can clearly tell she doesn't really care about her music and people can tell things like that.

While browsing through the old threads, I came across a topic about a possible release for the single of I Live For The Day.
It was supposed to be an interesting music video about Lindsay kidnapping an ex bf.
However, it was never released.
I wonder, was the video ever filmed in the first place, only to be withheld and not released at all??
If it was, then they would have certainly made a big mistake not to have shown it at all.
It would have made for quite an interesting and outstanding video and would have certainly boosted album sales.

ALMP wasn't promoted on all the major talkshows? She talked about it on Ellen and TRL, performed once on TRL and once on AMA.. and didn't even sing the entire song. She never toured with it, and there was hardly any posters, ads or TV promotion.

The material on the ablum simply comes down to personal opinion. You can't say the material was good enough, just because you didn't like it yourself, because it's a fact that Lindsay still has a large fanbase for her music.

I don't know who was at fault.. if it was the label, or just because Lindsay was too busy with filming, and the album wasn't as important to her, but the album, in my opinion was amazing.

It actually was promoted on all major tv shows.

All popular shows. However that was around the time of the album. After release there was never any promotion at all for it.

I think that she should have gone on tour. It would have been the best way to promot the album.
