Dina Lohan's Reality Show to Debut in Summer


Lindsay Lohan isn't the only star in her family.

Her mom, Dina Lohan, is starring in a reality show, tentatively titled Living Lohan, E! officially announced Tuesday. Debuting this summer, the series will follow the Lohan matriarch as she juggles family life with business, attempting to launch 14-year-old daughter Ali's entertainment career. Like her famous sister, Ali wants to sing and act – and plans to record songs at Las Vegas' Palms Casino on the show.

The program will also focus on Lindsay's 11-year-old brother Cody and Michael, 20, who is in college.

"The Lohans are one of the most intriguing families in the entertainment industry today," Lisa Berger of E! said in a statement. "This is a family that knows how to roll with the punches and come out on top. Dina is an incredibly hard-working, passionate mom that I think our viewers will find both relatable and highly entertaining."

While shooting has already begun, PEOPLE confirms that Dina and Ali will begin another round of filming March 17 in New York, followed by another two-week period in Las Vegas where Ali will hit up Maloof's recording studio. – Brian Orloff

Mother and sister of actress 'Living' on TV


E! Entertainment Television has picked up eight episodes of a reality series featuring celeb mom Dina Lohan and her 14-year-old daughter Ali, who has set her sights on a singing and acting career in the vein of big sis Lindsay. Bunim-Murray Prods. and Maloof TV are behind the tentatively titled "Living Lohan," which will follow the Lohans as they move from their Long Island home to Las Vegas, where Ali is set to record her debut album.

Jon Murray, Laura Korkoian, Jeff Jenkins, Phil Maloof and Andrew Jameson will exec produce the series. In a bout of synergy, the Lohans will live at the Maloof-owned Palms hotel. Ali will record her album -- set to be released on the Maloofs' Interscope-based music label -- at a new recording studio built at the hotel. (Don't rule out an Ali performance during a Sacramento Kings game; the team is also owned by the Maloofs.)

Maloof Prods. chairman-CEO Phil Maloof said his family developed a relationship with the Lohans a while back and has been looking to develop Ali as a singing star. Maloof TV's Jameson said the company is looking to target the younger Lohan to the tween audience. "In the wake of 'Hannah Montana' hysteria sweeping the nation, the music industry is taking note of that market," he said. "We thought it would be an interesting storyline for a TV series: What is it like for a 14-year-old to be a VIP in a hotel and record and live there?"

Show probably won't focus on big sis Lindsay's tabloid-headlining notoriety, although Jameson said Ali "has looked carefully at what happened to her sister and used it to apply to her own career." Show also will follow Dina Lohan as she spends time with the lesser-known Lohan kids: 11-year-old Cody and 20-year-old college student Michael. Project is the latest celebrity-fueled reality skein to hit the skeds at E!, which also has cameras following Snoop Dogg, Kimora Lee Simmons, Kim Kardashian and Denise Richards. E! exec VP Lisa Berger said she hopes viewers find Dina "both relatable and highly entertaining." Berger's faith in the Lohan brand may be justified: Lindsay recently posed nude for a New York magazine photo shoot, resulting in an increase in the mag's website traffic to the tune of more than 300%.-Variety

The biggest stigma for any younger Lohan trying to make a name for themselves will be to shed the thought that they're just LL's younger brother or sister and they don't have anything to offer themselves to the public.

Dina Lohan told me Monday that she's excited to start work on her new E! reality series, "Living Lohan." The show will focus on her relationship with her 14-year-old daughter, Ali, as she works toward the same stardom achieved by older sis Lindsay, and will feature cameos from the other Lohan siblings as well."We start shooting on the 16th for two weeks in New York," Dina said, adding that she hadn't wanted to film Lindsay's recent party at the Atelier building. I don't know what Dina's talking about, for the most part the Lohans seem to be treated well. Wonder just how much Dina and La Lohan will be on this show that's being used to sell Aliana to big wigs.

LiLo's Ex-Bodyguard Wants Cut of Dina's E! Coin

An ex-bodyguard for Lindsay Lohan won a $300,000 court ruling last month against her mom, Dina -- and the money could come out of Dina's E! paycheck. How's that for reality?

TMZ has obtained documents from Nassau County Court in New York, ordering Dina to pay $300K (plus interest and lawyer's fees) to Antonio Almeida, LiLo's former bodyman, and Mitchell Chait. They claim that Dina hasn't lived up to her side of a settlement and still owes them for money they loaned her to help kick-start Lindsay's career back in 2003. They sued her in Nevada last year.

Sources tell TMZ that after the judgment against Dina, the court could end up garnishing some of Dina's pay from her upcoming E! show, "Living Lohan," if she doesn't pay up. Dina's camp says they're not worried about that, but wouldn't say how she plans to fulfill -- or fight -- the order.
