Well now it's your chance! We're proud to announce the first LocationLohan "singing" contest. Show us your voice, show us the true star inside of you.

The contest rules:

• You must be a member of Locationlohan with at least 20 posts in order to participate.
• It must be one of Lindsay's songs.
• You must use an instrumental song, so no voice over the original one.
• For the creative ones, you can do a remake of Lindsay's song with your own lyrics BUT it must be Lindsay related and you have to send the lyrics too. Any negative lyrics content will be disqualified immediately.
• If you don't have the instrumental, but you know how to play it on a guitar, piano... that's allowed too.
• You can use a freeware Audio recorder like "Goldwave" (see download link) to record your song. Or use your webcam to record it. We will rip the audio out of it, so don't worry about the video.
• If you use an Audio recorder software the file must be mp3, 192kbps, 44100Hz.
• The deadline is: 23th of February at 12pm GMT+1
• All submits must be send to this address: admin(a)locationlohan.com, if you use the webcam and the video file is bigger then 10mb please upload your file to a file host like Megaupload, Rapidschare,... and mail us the link instead.
  • Please include the following information in the mail:
    • Full name
    • Members name/nick
    • Age
    • Country/City
    • The reason why you picked the song
• By downloading the Instrumental files you agree to sign up for this contest. The files are provided for the participants to get them on the way and not for those that don't have the files and just want them to complete their "collection".

After the deadline the submitted files will be posted without the name of the member, so nobody knows who sang it. And every member gets the chance to vote for the best one. The participant is not allowed to tell anyone that he or she has participated to the contest. If he or she does that he or she will be disqualified immediately.

The winner of this contest gets the "I know who killed me" DVD.

What you need to participate:

• Computer (duh)
• Microphone, For example: Skype headset would do perfectly
• Audio recorder software, For example:  GoldWave.zip ( 2.31MB ) Number of downloads: 7
  
• Instrumental song
• Maybe a music instrument
• Your own voice
• Lyrics of Lindsay or your own one

To get you started we'll post a couple instrumentals with the lyrics

Recording instructions:

Audio only

1. open an audio player like Winamp, Windows Media Player,...
2. open an audio recorder
3. set the audio device in the recorder to record WAVE IN/Stereo Mix/...
4. make a new file with the above mentioned settings
5. start the recording
6. start the audio player
7. start singing
8. end recording
9. end player
10. save the file as mp3
    
11. mail it to admin(a)locationlohan.com

Webcam

1. open an audio player like Winamp, Windows Media Player,...
2. open your webcam applicatoin
   
3. check if the microphone works
