Producers: We Still Want Lindsay Lohan The producers of Lindsay Lohan's next film, Poor Things, plan to keep her on the cast and will juggle the shooting schedule to accommodate her rehabilitation stint, they told PEOPLE on Wednesday. "We have been asked by Lindsay to comply with her wishes to continue working on Poor Things," producers Rob Hickman and Shirley MacLaine, who will also star in the dark comedy, say in a statement. "We are trying to rearrange the shooting schedule to facilitate her working at the end of the shoot to coincide with the completion of her rehabilitation. We wish her love and the blending of mind, body and spirit." Filming was scheduled to begin Thursday in Los Angeles. The film is based on the true story of two women who murder homeless men and then cash in on their life insurance policies. The statement from the Poor Things producers offered the first assurance that Lohan's career will remain on track despite her problems on and off movie sets. Lohan admitted herself on Memorial Day to what her rep called "an intensive medical rehabilitation facility" after she was cited for DUI. The producer of Lohan's current movie, Georgia Rule, had famously scolded her in a letter for missing work last summer. The film's director, Garry Marshall, later said he was the one who requested the reprimand. This will be Lohan's second entry into rehab this year. Her first stay at the Wonderland Center in West Hollywood, started on Jan. 17 and continued for a month. "In the spirit of helping Lindsay Lohan and her rehabilitation, we have been asked by Lindsay to comply with her wishes to continue working on 'Poor Things,'" they said. "We are trying to rearrange the shooting schedule to facilitate her working at the end of the shoot to coincide with the completion of her rehabilitation. We wish her love and the blending of mind, body and spirit." Lohan's latest woes mark the second time in a year that her personal behavior has put her at odds with the demands of her film career. Last July another producer, Morgan Creek Prods. executive James Robinson, went public with a letter to Lohan scolding her for repeatedly showing up late on the set of "Georgia Rule," which is currently in theaters. In his unusual rebuke, Robinson called her behavior "discourteous, irresponsible and unprofessional" and cited her "ongoing all-night heavy partying" as the reason for her tardiness. Lohan returned to work the next day, and "Georgia Rule," which paired her with another Oscar-winning film legend, Jane Fonda, was released earlier this month. Entertainment trade paper Daily Variety reported that shooting on her latest film, the dark comedy "Poor Things," originally was set to begin this week in Los Angles. Co-starring Olympia Dukakis and Rosario Dawson, the film was inspired by the recent real-life cases of elderly con-artist women convicted of scams involving homeless men, insurance fraud and murder. Lohan was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence in Beverly Hills after running her Mercedes over a curb and into a hedge early on Saturday. On imdb pro there's also a little more information on how movies go up on the movie meter. It's still only 141th on the rankings but it coincided with an article in the news section of imdb.com about her stint in rehab. The movie is linked in that article so that's why it shot up.
