For a large amount of the games in the arcade when you submit your score it goes back to the main menu. Then your score has not been submitted.

Also I was wondering if it would be possible to change my username to Gary. I hate mirror now and I would really prefer to be known as Gary. I think it is more personal and there is no need for me to have a username like mirror anymore.

Well I imagine if you really want your name changed, you will need to come up with a more compelling reason than that. Hadn't encountered that problem before with the arcade, it may just be a glitch.

Which games are doing it? What browser/operating system are you using? The more information you can give us, the better we can try and solve the problem.

I think some of the games are programmed for the older version of the Arcade and simply need to be replaced with newer copies. The submit URL changed with the most recent version, so some may not have been updated.
