Lindsay Lohan might be clean and sober in her personal life, but in front of the camera she's diving right in to drugs, reports Entertainment Weekly. Lohan tells EW that she's set to star in a film called "Hippy," a "drug-addled world" created by director Chris Siverston, who directed Lohan in "I Know Who Killed Me." ... Anderson Cooper is in line for a big new contract from CNN, says Page Six, that will pay him a whopping $50 million over five years. ... Sean Penn has angered native Hawaiians by staying at Oahu's Turtle Bay Resort, which, as HollywoodInterrupted.com reports, is undergoing an expansion that locals claim threatens the coastline and desecrates burial grounds. "The idea that Sean Penn would pay to support what we've been protesting for 30 years makes me sick," says one outraged local.

Lindsay Lohan is thrilled to be playing a drug-taking hippy in her new movie.
The 20-year-old actress - who was recently treated for alcoholism - will be working with her 'I Know Who Killed Me' director Chris Silverston and co-star Marc Senter in 'Hippy' and can't wait for the project to start.
Lindsay said: "It's about a group of kids taking a cross-country trip when one of them drops acid, goes crazy and starts, like, killing people.' "I have so much faith in Chris and I just love working with him. I love
him so much as a person, that while we were on set on our last project, I said, 'Let's make a deal right now.'
"I think Chris is going to be huge. I have no doubt in my mind about that." Lindsay is currently in Japan modelling for designer Jill Stuart and will fly to London in May to begin filming 'The Best Time of Our Lives' - a biopic about the love life of poet Dylan Thomas, which also stars Keira Knightley.

The newly rehabbed Lindsay Lohan says she's enjoying sobriety â€â€� off-camera, at least. As for her on-screen life, the actress tells EW she can't wait to delve into the drug-addled world director Chris Siverston is creating for his next movie, which is currently titled Hippy. Although the project is still in its embryonic stage, Lohan had such a great experience working with the director on the upcoming movie I Know Who Killed Me, she's already set to take another trip with him.

''I have so much faith in [Siverston], just as a person, and I just love working with him,'' Lohan told EW. ''I love him [so much] as a person, that while we were on set, I was like, 'Let's make a deal right now.'''

Details on the movie's plot are scant at this point, but Lohan basically describes it as being about a group of kids taking a cross-country trip when one of them drops acid, goes crazy, ''and starts, like, killing people.''

Lohan says that Hippy will reunite her and Siverston with Marc Senter, who is starring alongside Lohan in I Know Who Killed Me and previously starred in Siverston's 2005 horror drama, The Lost. ''The Lost is such a good film,'' Lohan says. ''That was the one that I first saw before working with [Siverston]. I think Chris is going to be huge. I have no doubt in my mind about that.''

Could this Lohan/Siverston/Senter connection be a new Scorsese-like Hollywood clique in the making?

''I'm all for it,'' Lohan laughs. ''Not that I wouldn't love to work with Scorsese also.''

Thanks for that bit of news. Lindsay's taking on much more serious roles now. That's great 'cuz she can really expand her acting in those the most. Hope it's true.

As long as she does a good job and being in this movie doesn't make her think abusing substances again is a good idea she should definitely go for this.

Marc Senter Joins Lindsay Lohan in Hippy Source:Variety March 9, 2008

Variety reports Marc Senter (The Lost) is locked for two films beginning production sometime this year. One is Hippy, the Lindsay Lohan horror film directed by Chris Sivertson we first alerted you to nearly a year ago. The other is a film entitled Ironclad.

Shock recently joined Sivertson for a screening of "Lost" recently, and when we spoke to him about Hippy he relayed it was a film that's still on the table but he'd rather "not talk about it too much for fear of jinxing everything."
