Jessica Biel has landed the role that had been earmarked for Lindsay Lohan. Jessica, will now play Hester Worsley in the film version of Oscar Wilde’s A Woman of No Importance, Myriad Films confirmed to In Touch.

Lindsay announced last week that she was pulling out of the film, saying she wanted to concentrate on getting sober following her decision to go into rehab. But Hollywood whispers say that she is becoming hard to insure after illnesses caused delays on consecutive movies.

The decision to cast Jessica threatens to reignite a festering feud between the two starlets. Lindsay, was furious when her assistant, Lindsay Ratowsky, left her to work for the star of The Illusionist. They had a run-in at a party in New York in November when Lindsay screamed at Ratowsky when she saw her there with Jessica.

A Woman of No Importance, which also stars Annette Bening and Sean Bean, is due to start filming this spring.

thats too bad i like them both but i would much rather have seen lindsay do the movie

She is,now she will be at uk promote miu miu campaign and filming The Best Time Of Our Lives after that,she got some pretty good future.

Movie offers come and go, one hardly makes a difference. Currently, I think Jessica is a better choice

Lindsay decided to drop it herself, to focus on herself. Someone else has to play Lindsays part then. I don't really see how this could reignite a feud. It was Lindsays choice to pull out of the movie. If Jessica wants to play this part, let her. I wish her good luck with it. Besides, Lindsay has enough movies left, and as Viktor said, offers will come and go

If she dropped out on her own, I don't think there'd be a problem between Jessica and Lindsay over this movie. Jessica only got in it because Lindsay dropped out. Then Lindsay wouldn't be mad about losing the role to Jessica and Jessica wouldn't be mad because she gets to work in this movie. I agree on no problem here.

It was the same thing between Lindsay and Jessica Alba. In that case she backed out of the Bill because stupid reason that director was "not known enough" and Jessica Alba took over her role!

Biel is looking so good right now. give her the role.

I agree, Jessica Biel is the better and safer choice right now. If in the future Lindsay sobers up and becomes more mature, she will probably start being on Hollywood's short list again with living greats like Natalie Portman and Charlize Theron.
